Therapy for anxiety in MA & CT
Is your mind racing so fast and constantly that it’s pulling you away from the precious moments in your life?
You find yourself frustrated that you can’t enjoy the joyful moments because you are trapped in a cycle of stress, fear, and overwhelming thoughts. Perhaps you are having panic attacks or your body is showing signs of stress through stomachaches, headaches, shakiness or other symptoms. Perhaps anxiety is manifesting as phobias or OCD. Do you feel tense, agitated and have difficulty relaxing? Do you find yourself irritable with your loved ones when you want to be patient and calm? Perhaps you’re wondering “what’s wrong with me?”
Whatever it is that you’re experiencing, you’re beginning to notice the impact of this in every facet of your life:
Struggling to stay focused and productive at work
Feeling on edge all the time and having difficulty relaxing
Preoccupied by worries at times when you want to be present (with your partner, children, friends, family)
These emotional experiences are often rooted in a dysregulated nervous system. You don’t have to live with this daily tension and fear.
Therapy for anxiety can help.
How therapy works
You can find ways to get to a place of calm and grounded.
You can feel more present for the important moments and people in your life. You can find ways to settle your nervous system when it gets activated to feel more in control of your responses and feel calm again. And I can help you get there.
I specialize in nervous system-based approaches to anxiety, helping you break free from emotional overwhelm and rediscover calm and control. Whether you’re facing panic attacks, phobic responses, or the intrusive thoughts of OCD, my integrative therapy methods can help you heal.
How I Can Help You:
Somatic Practices & Mindfulness: Learn how to regulate your body’s stress response, shift from fight-or-flight to calm, and find inner peace.
Cognitive Reframing & Nervous System Reset: Using polyvagal theory and parts work, we help you process and release old patterns of fear and worry.
EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps you process the root causes of your anxiety, panic, and OCD, leading to lasting change.
I’ll help through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My approach to therapy for anxiety comes from a place of compassion and acceptance: I believe that there is nothing wrong with you and that the anxiety you feel is trying to take care of and protect you in some way. Together we will better understand your anxiety and from there, find ways to care for and soothe it so that you feel in control of your life again, instead of the anxiety.

The initial few sessions will be spent getting to know you: your past, present and hopes for the future. We will talk about what brings you comfort and soothing as well as what is activating for you. From there we will work together to find the best approach for you. That may include EMDR, should we decide that could support you in finding relief from anxiety, or we may use a combination of talk therapy, mindfulness, and checking in with the body. Learn more.

The work we do together is 100% individualized. We will work together to meet your goals and check in along the way to see how you are feeling about therapy and your initial goals. For some clients they feel they have met their goals and want to end therapy, for other clients they feel they have met their initial goals but then find they have new goals and want to continue therapy. We will determine how long you will be in therapy together by checking in along the way. Learn more.
